Sun Tzu is an ancient Chinese general credited with writing the Art of War. Little is known of his life, but there is record of him being a general for the King of Wu.
The Art of War is widely regarded as a work of genius and one of the all-time great texts on the subject of strategy. A quick search on Amazon will yeild will over 50 different versions of the book.

The greatest misconception about the Art of War is that it promotes war. In reality, the text is more of a strategic guide for getting what you want. The advice in the book often encourages avoiding war and finding creative ways to achieve victory while avoiding conflict.
Today, this text is read by military commanders, poker players, politicians, martial artists, and anyone else that deals with conflict and understands the importance of using creativity and strategy to get what they want.
