What is on this website?

This website has two main types of content. One is the “Learn the Art of War” eBook. This can be purchased and downloaded for $24.99. The other is a collection of free material that can help you understand the Art of War. This material includes ablog that relates the teachings from the Art of War to people, places, and things in modern life. There are also free download of the original text and audio book files

How long will it take to get through the eBook?

The eBook will take a total of 3-5 hours, depending on your pace, and is broken up into many small, palatable chunks by chapter.

Who created the Learn the Art of War Online Course?

The Online Course is a colaboration between two groups. The course was conceived of and written by me, James Dyke, a learning enthusiast. All illustration and narration of the course was done by Laurie Dempster. If you like this site, you can also visit my general trivia blog at jamestoldme.com.

Why does the Art of War need to be interpreted?

The Art of War is an incredibly well known text with excellent advice and learning that almost anyone can apply to their lives. The problem is that it was written 2500 years ago in ancient China, making the text very difficult to read and understand. For this reason, although countless copies of this book are sold each year, most remain unread and under appreciated.

I have done the research and hard work to create material that will help you understand the meaning of the text, clarify the key points and give context to the material and put it into a format that is easy to follow.

What do I get when I download the Learn the Art of War eBook?

The eBook has three main components. One is the actual text of the Art of War in your choice of video, audio or written version. Second is a quiz that reinforces key concepts from the original text. The final, and most important section is the chapter by chapter video interpretation of the text. You will have access to all of these resources as a downloadable pdf file.

You will also be given two eBooks that you can download and keep for future reference. The first is the original text of the Art of War and the second is a text version of the chapter interpretations. In addition to the eBooks you will also get a workbook version of the quizzes and an audiobook of the Art of War. All of these things together will allow you to truly understand the Art of War and apply it to your everyday life.

Will the eBook make me an expert in the Art of War?

No. The purpose of the course is to allow you, someone new to the Art of War, to access and understand the basic concepts it presents. Once you have completed the material, you will know more about the Art of War than most people you meet, but it will take more work to become an expert.

I think conflict and war are dangerous, why should people learn about it?

Everyone will face conflict in their life, it is unavoidable. Ironically, most of the teachings in the Art of War deal with avoiding war. The knowledge contained in the text is simply a tool to help you get what you want for yourself and the people around you. Through studying the text, you will see that the key to winning a conflict is knowledge, not strength.
